Rosenthal

Philip Rosenthal, in 1879, founded a porcelain manufacturers at Selb, Bavaria. Figures inspired by the Art Deco style of the era were produced by eminent artists such as Gerard Schliepstein, Fritz Glimsch, Rudolph Marcuse, T. Karner and Ferdinand Liebermann and Ernst Wenck.

Philip’s son (also Philip) succeeded after the death of his father in 1937 and carried on the company ethos of employing the service of fashionable designers.
