Mills Blue Rhythm Band

Who? Created by the impresario Irving Mills (who managed Duke Ellington at one time), the band was never big in its own right, but featured some of the great names of the 1930s, such as Henry ‘Red’ Allen, some other players who should be better known and some interesting arrangements. For big band fans, a group well worth investigating.
